One more thing!

That time of the year when the air smells different and tech machinery churns out their gizmos! With the onset of Autumn and winter coming, there’s nothing more clock worked than Apple’s yearly event – slated for September, 7 this year.

Apple will be unveiling their next lineup of Apple devices, with iPhone 14 series, revised iPads (maybe), newer foldable iPad (we wish), Series 8 Apple Watch, AirPods and AirPods Pro revisions – quite likely. And that makes it kinda usual! What else could there be? Is there a ‘One more thing’, could it be the unveiling of the long-awaited Apple Car? Or could it be the announcement of a whole new product – VR glasses? See, rumor mill has been abound about Apple working tirelessly to get into both these two segments, and Apple has been as tight-lipped as ever. Could this change now? Only time will tell.

If we were to look at the market conditions, consumer sentiment and technological advancements, the time seems almost ripe for an electric car and with Apple entering into the arena, we can only imagine the craze it will have. With car companies switching to more EV options, they are gradually becoming tech companies so while they may or will not compete with Apple by producing iPhones, Apple is well poised to attack their stronghold on the automobile sector. We learned Apple hiring EV engineers and whatnot but haven’t heard or seen anything since – and well when was the last we sneaked past their Area-51-like security protocols? We can only wish for Apple to finally get into the race and win it with their uber-simple, straightforward UX, highly functional and no-nonsense approach. Until then keep wishing.

The other new product Apple seriously seems to be working on could be an AR/VR headset. This space has also been heating up with the likes of Meta, Microsoft, Sony, Google, Snap and others pouring in millions to provide an intimate and immersive experience. While the others have an ecosystem to support, Apple may find it challenging unless it piggybacks on content or gaming platforms. Unlike the lead it had with its revolutionary iPhones, it may be a long path to see any success with its AR/VR jig. As much as we love to see more and more Apple products, unless it blends in seamlessly in the realm of the Apple ecosystem itself, without having much of a dependency on third party, its going to be a long solo walk.

For mass appeal and quick adoption, we can only imagine Apple wooing content and media houses to make exclusive content for AppleLens or iLens, if we may!

Coming back to deciphering more of the Apple event invitation picture, are these stars being photographed with an ultra-new astrophotography lens or are these satellites that new iPhones are rumored to have direct connectivity with? Like all things Apple, we can only speculate.
